This coming April, over 50 singers from Canada, the United States, and Ukraine will be presenting new and timeless Ukrainian Sacred Music to audiences in Toronto, Rochester, Philadelphia, and New York. This extraordinary concert series will also showcase a brand-new, landmark liturgical composition by an American-Ukrainian priest,  Fr. John Sembrat OSBM. Leading the choir will be one of the finest choral directors in North America, Michael Zaugg of Pro Coro Canada.

This combined male choir features twelve members from the following renowned professional choirs in Ukraine: the Boyan Ensemble of Kyiv, the Chorus of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, the Homin Municipal Choir of Lviv and Vydubychi Church Choir of Kyiv. The 50-plus member ensemble will also include members of Edmonton’s professional ensemble Pro Coro Canada, the Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus of Detroit, the Axios Men’s Ensemble, Hoosli Ukrainian Male Chorus of Winnipeg, and the Ukrainian Male Chorus of Edmonton

It is our aim to share Fr. Sembrat's new liturgy and to expose our Ukrainian choral heritage to a wider audience. Our hope is that these performances will spark a vibrant renewal in Ukrainian sacred music and to provide a transcendent experience immersing the conductor, choristers and audience; men and women, children and seniors, clergy and lay people in an odyssey of resonance and faith.

It’s our desire to build on the success we experienced last year. After sold-out performances in western Canada, we want to bring this music and high calibre choir to audiences in eastern North America.

To assemble a world-class choir with members from across Canada, the United States and Ukraine requires a significant amount of funding. Our projected revenues from our recording and touring will only cover a portion of our expenses. We rely on generous support from people like you to help make our dream a reality. You can make your contribution in a variety of ways, either through a secured Paypal or by mailing out a cheque to one of the addresses listed below. All contributions will receive a tax deductible receipt.
